Spanning 70 acres, with an investment of 130 million yuan in phase one, "Legend of Desert" offers several tourist attractions, including the "Flower of the Desert" and "Silk Road Post Station" sightseeing areas, and experiential zones like the "Dynamic Zone", "Flying over the Desert" and "Silk Road Camel Bells". With these cultural IPs, the project seeks to leverage its unique resources and regional cultural features in its quest to become the "Disney of the Desert" and the leading brand of desert tourism in China. The ambition is to attract over 2 million tourists every year.
The "Flying over the Desert" project offers a strong technological feel, with its main building resembling a space station in the universe. Viewing cabins akin to mysterious UFOs soar up to 55 meters high for a 360° panoramic view of the desert landscape. The "Silk Road Camel Bells" lets visitors traverse the terrain of Ningxia on camelback, offering an exceptional desert journey.

The Shapotou mascots, Sha Sha and Mo Mo, also made their debut today to lead visitors a journey into the legends of the Shapotou desert. Their design is inspired by "Ship of the Desert", the camel, carrying a personality of "wisdom, intelligence, cuteness, and bravery" in a combination of traditional and modern imagery. The main color tones are derived from the natural hues of the Tengger Desert and the Yellow River, while their crystal eyes and shy faces showcase the adorably dumb and cute appeal of these mascots.
